I’m looking forward to visiting Carnton again. And it’s a great start to her new series. We are introduced to some characters that we’ll see again in the series but what won me over was that Alexander kept the focus right where it belonged: with Jake and Aletta.īut it wasn’t just her focus that deserves the praise, Alexander brings to life the hardships of war in the midst of the Christmas season.
